Objective
Explore whether small LoRa devices can support a field-oriented multiplayer game rather than treating the radio link only as a messaging transport.
Work
Two Heltec WiFi LoRa 32 V3 units were used as working player nodes while a LilyGO T-Deck was developed as a commander or administrator interface.
Gameplay experiments included a shooter-style mode with falling obstacles, death and scoreboard behavior, receive counters, and radio feedback such as RSSI. The beeper was removed from the working direction.
Result
The two Heltec nodes were able to participate in the experimental game flow, establishing a practical base for continued work on distributed game state, scoring, and command functions over LoRa.
Next
Continue refining gameplay and the radio protocol while deciding which information belongs on player nodes and which belongs on the T-Deck command interface.
